The Challenge: Bridging the Digital Divide
Community organizations often face an uphill battle with unpredictable funding, a reality that can significantly hinder their ability to invest in crucial infrastructure, like IT. This particular French school, with a rich history of over two decades, bravely shared their financial journey with us. They navigate fluctuating annual funding, often receiving less than requested or even facing refusals, leading to an unstable surplus.
Their vital reserves, once a quarter-million buffer, were nearly depleted by the end of 2023. While 2024 brought a much-needed replenishment through diligent volunteer efforts and difficult administrative staff reductions, their ability to invest in IT infrastructure remained out of reach. They highlighted a critical need for stable IT development, emphasizing that without external support, they would continue to rely on volunteer assistance for their technological needs—a less than ideal, yet historically necessary, solution. Their story underscores a universal truth: sustainable funding for core infrastructure is essential for growth and stability.
Our Journey: A Grant Application Success Story
Understanding their critical need, Heartfelt IT embarked on a mission to secure vital funding for their IT development. The journey began in late June 2025, with the opening of the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) application.
Our dedicated team reached out to nearly 100 companies, sparking interest from 15. From those, 10 moved forward, and ultimately, 5 continued through the rigorous application process. Finally, after months of diligent effort, the French school emerged as the deserving recipient of the grant!
This monumental achievement was driven by the unwavering vision of our Founder and CEO, Sergey, who recognized the profound impact this grant could have. His belief in helping organizations make a tangible difference truly set this initiative in motion. We also extend a special mention to Andrii, whose tireless efforts were instrumental. From orchestrating meetings with various teams to meticulously gathering information and ensuring every requirement was met, Andrii's dedication was paramount to our success.

On December 8, 2025, the news arrived: they won the grant! This victory marks the beginning of a new chapter for the French school, one where they can finally build the robust IT infrastructure they desperately need.
